v0.4 - I Got Covid :(

# Hypno.exe 0.4 - I Got COVID :(

That is right! This new update of Hypno.exe comes drenched in a little more sweat and phlegm than previous updates due to my COVID infection. I have taken the precaution of sanitizing the files before uploading them, so fear not you are safe for now.

As always, this is an early release with a high probability of bugs and issues, as well as UI/UX designed by a programmer. You have been warned.

Likewise, if you are using the Linux builds be warned that I do not have a way to test them at this time, so they are even more untested than the other versions. Let me know what does and does not work.

New Major Features

Pendulum Element - A classic pocket watch or yen coin swinging before your very eyes. The motion and colors are all editable, as well as some special effects for the watch face. I may have given the Yen coin a square hole instead of a round one. Whoops.

Text To Speech Element - A very basic, proof-of-concept Element. Only supports very few characters and only speaks with the system default voice, probably best to keep it to a few short words. Good for you mantra fans ;)

Wormhole Element - Might be too X-treme for some, this is a cool whirling vortex of pulsing color for you to bliss out to.

Color System Rework - A complete overhaul of how colors are handled in the back end. This will probably break any existing Programs, or at the very least reset all your colors to default. Apologies.

Minor Changes

UI Update - The Pendulum proved too intricate an Element to fit its settings in the existing UX, so I had to rework everything to be consistent with a new, more compact approach. This is still not final, but you should find your screen less busy when dealing with complex color settings.

And that is it for this release. If you are still reading well done. As always please check out the Roadmap and Bug List for more info, and feel free to follow me on Twitter if you are not already.

The Roadmap has been reshuffled on account of Unreal Engine 5 not supporting Google Cardboard/Daydream out of the box. Or more accurately because Google killed Daydream, and with it my personal dreams. There is a way to get it working, but it is very expensive, more so than I can justify for this side project, for now at least.

so next up is custom Audio and Video import! One of the most requested features, it will be very hard to do, and probably require a rework of the Element saving, importing, and exporting systems.
